From Local Fabricators to High-Altitude Infrastructure Experts

Eco Fabricators and Builders was founded in 2018 in Khonmoh, Srinagar, with a modest goal: to offer quality fabrication services to the growing construction sector in Jammu & Kashmir. What began as a small unit producing steel components and civil support structures soon evolved into a multi-disciplinary company serving some of the toughest terrains in the country.

Humble Beginnings (2018–2019)

We started with limited tools, a compact team, and a big vision — to deliver reliable, locally made infrastructure solutions. In the early days, we focused on steel gates, railings, and minor civil contracts, building a reputation for reliability, on-time delivery, and hands-on service. By the end of 2019, we had registered as a PWD (Public Works Department) contractor, allowing us to formally participate in public works and government-backed infrastructure development.

Expansion into Prefabrication & Manufacturing (2020–2021)

Recognizing the unique challenges of construction in high-altitude and remote areas like Leh, Kargil, Drass, and border villages, we expanded into prefabricated construction and industrial product manufacturing. This shift allowed us to serve sectors like: Defense (border outposts, army shelters) Tourism (eco-huts, cottages) Healthcare (field offices, emergency shelters) We also launched our own line of hot water tanks, oil storage systems, hot air blowers, and custom fireplaces — products engineered for cold climates and low-resource environments.

Turnkey Solutions & Engineering Excellence (2022–2023)

Our reputation grew as we successfully delivered turnkey civil and mechanical projects, combining design, fabrication, transport, and on-site execution. Clients trusted us for remote installations that required not just equipment, but strategic planning, weather-proofing, and logistical precision. By this time, we had equipped our in-house unit with CNC machines, MIG/TIG welding stations, sheet metal equipment, and custom coating facilities — making us one of the few firms in the region offering complete fabrication under one roof.

Today, Eco Fabricators and Builders is recognized for its end-to-end capabilities, from building homes and commercial complexes to engineering snow ploughs and thermal systems. We've earned the trust of government departments, defense contractors, tourism operators, NGOs, and private developers alike. Our work can be seen across Kashmir Valley, Zanskar, Kargil, Leh, and other remote corners where performance, safety, and durability matter most.
